The Yard Of Food Project
Solidago
A type of goldenrod, it along with other goldenrods, tend to get blamed and mistaken for ragweed during seasonal allergies. It can trigger allergies to those sensitive to it, but is not the cause of seasonal allergies.
Grown as an ornamental and although it makes beehives smell "like sweaty socks" to some, it makes excellent honey.
Right now, mine are just large clumps of leaves.
Below is what it will look like as it flowers.
